Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

This was a fun read. Anna is forced leave all her friends (and her potential boyfriend) to go to Paris for her senior year of high school. Her dad is a famous author who writes cheesy and depressing romance novels. He likes the idea of being able to tell people how cultured his daughter is by attending the School of Americans in Paris (SOAP); however, Anna really is just frustrated by how alone she suddenly feels. Of course there are new friends in Paris and one in particular is an attractive boy with an English accent. He does happen to have a girlfriend, but that doesn’t stop them from becoming best “mates”. This is a fun tale with lots of explorations of friendship, love, romance, and Paris.
