So for the craft for the “S” story time I wanted to use straws…because that starts with the letter “S”.

So I made this picture in Microsoft Publisher. It is a spaceship in one side of a rectangle. Then there are stars on the other side.

Then I did another one (because I wanted two samples). Then I cut out the rectangle and folded it on the dotted line. Then I taped all of the sides (but not the bottom).

Then I put a straw in the “spaceship” on the bottom. Then I blew in the straw and made the spaceship “fly”. It was a big hit in story time. I think my kids have a new appreciation for the letter “S”…and for straws.
