This is a sequel to Shiver, which for the record was amazing. I knew that I would love this book long before I read it. When I finally allowed myself the pleasure of reading, I knew I was right. I did love this book. The only problem is that the third in the trilogy (Forever) will not be out for a few months yet.
***Spoilers!***
So in Shiver Grace had to help Sam figure out how to stay human and not turn into a wolf once it was the temperature became too cold. In Linger Grace and Sam are a couple…but now Grace’s parents decide to actually be parents and try to keep Sam away, even though Grace is struggling with the wolf part of her and Sam is the one that could possible help her.
The other cool thing in this book is that there are two new perspectives: Cole and Isabel. I love how complex Cole and Isabel are. They are new and deep and raw and the perfect complement to Grace and Sam.
The ending was great. I especially loved just how real the whole scene at the hospital felt. I loved the moment when I first realized that Grace’s bloody nose was just like the wolf that had died on Isabel’s property.
In summary: Maggie Stiefvater has done it again and bring on Forever! Five golden stars.
