Our Great Reads for Girls Mother/Daughter Book Club for November read Babymouse: Queen of the World. The craft and box were put together by yet another great coworker. (Seriously, I love how I just put together one box and then all the rest of the libraries in the system share these boxes. Which means that I only have to put together a Great Reads for Girls box once every two years. I’m just in charge of making sure all the supplies are good-to-go in the box I am in charge of.)
It was a lot of fun to talk about reading a graphic novel. And we also played Truth or Dare (since Babymouse wanted to go to a sleepover, and that is the best sleepover game of all-time). Then for the craft, we all made these giant Babymouse pictures. Which was great because graphic novels are all about fun visual illustrations. And, as always the girls loved it.
