So for my STEM element after story time I pulled out the bucket of balls

and the parachute

Then I told the kids to see if they could make the balls “jump” on the parachute.

It was fun to see the kids enjoy what the balls were doing thanks to the parachute.

I also talked about why the parachute moved the way it did and why it would move the balls up and down. All in all, it was a totally fun way to do science.
