Farmer George Plants a Nation by Peggy Thomas Paintings by Layne Johnson

This is another good book. Farmer George is above all else, a farmer. He just happens to be a general for the colony of Virginia, then the general of the continental army, then the first president of the United States of America. But above all else, he is a farmer at Mount Vernon. He loves to plan what trees, crops, bushes, and flowers to plant. At one time people would even bring gifts of various types of seeds for George to plant. Of course we all know that George was a great leader, and part of that could because he was a great farmer, aka planner. Anyway, very nice biography. Four stars.
